@rosspw In the feed, yes. Once you jump in, and can see more of the conversation, that’s when usernames light up. ;-)

@rosspw I agree with the scanability point. Unfortunately, this would also increase the noise in the timeline, which we’re trying to reduce.

@rosspw Your guess is fairly accurate. Also, linkified URLs in mobile timelines is a fairly new thing: blog.twitter.com/2013/02/search…

@stop @rosspw So it’s not that we de-linkified usernames in the timeline, but rather, that we chose to add a new feature by only linkifying URLs.
