@danrubin That’s it. Might be due to the limitations of Instagram’s current UI. There’s not much room for mediocre or over-sharing photogs.
-
@cshrieve Because not everyone has a good eye. And the current feed makes each and every photo count.
-
BUSTER! busts one out. Way to go kid.
-
@Basti You noted the irony of that bundle, right? See also: http://www.curated.by/stop/dmv-hate
-
@splorp That may be because the popular shots are often good, so you want them larger. Not always true of my feed.
-
Find myself wishing my @instagram feed had the same thumbnail view as Popular. Not every photo is worth a full screen view.
-
@k I think you won with this recent tweet because your checkin pulled a location that has more characters than many tweets.
-
@Wzzy Same version. Apparently, the new bar is only visible to a small % of people so far.
-
@ded Looks easy enough to mask out and fake the background between them if you wanted a perfect shot. Just requires a few PS skillz.
-
@jinen A worthy stop after being away for a while, even if you just want to be home. Welcome back, Jinen.

What’s next? “Turn your head and cough”? For the First Time, the TSA Meets Resistance theatlantic.com/national/archi…

@jagtesh They’ve been using the unicode arrow for a while now. I disliked its awkward shape. Seems CSS gives more precise control over this.
-
@jagtesh @maxshelley Appears this is only a limited test so far. Not everyone is seeing the new bar yet.
-
@AJKandy That’s a pretty limited bucket test. But I guess they have their feedback already then. ;-)
-
@joshuarudd Perhaps. Odd that it would only be available on Safari + Chrome/dev, but also to a limited % of that.
-
@borislavb Ah, that might explain it then. More advanced/updated CSS support in the developer preview.
-
@JimConnolly For reference, here’s a shot of what I see in Safari: http://cl.ly/5a6ece8dfbe2104fc280
-
@owenthomas I’m not so sure that testing would have helped them arrive at this design.
-
I also find it interesting that none of the links in Google’s top bar are underlined, not even on hover. I kinda like it.
-
@borislavb Interesting – my up-to-date install of Chrome/Mac still has the old bar.
-
Note the subtle color bars above certain pieces of the bar. And the gear icon for settings on the far right. Could this be Design?
-
Google’s new topbar design only appears in Safari so far (not even Chrome). This is what I see: http://cl.ly/5a6ece8dfbe2104fc280
-
Just noticed Google’s top bar now uses CSS borders for the little dropdown arrows, instead of wonky characters or extra images. Nice.
-
@tony4d Hang in there – we’re working on it. The UX we want us hard to implement.
-
@delbius Love those. Save often though.
-
@joeypfeifer @weightshift Agreed with you both. Why, in a city filled with great designers, does this Clipper atrocity exist?
-
@andyrutledge I concede that it might be nice for the Giants to lose one in TX, so they can come back and win the whole Series at home. ;-)
-
@nikf Thanks. Temporary workaround for now: Paparazzi allows a user stylesheet. So grab there, then import back into LS. :-) /cc @dannygreg
-
@dannygreg Is there a way to force LittleSnapper to honor a user stylesheet when doing a websnap?
-
@DragonC Careful. It could break again, and you’d be stuck with this one for much longer than you planned…

It’s that time of year in San Francisco when you can’t tell if someone is dressed up for Halloween or not.
-
@jbrewer I thought you already had the answer? Last year, Movember resulted in a lot of creepy, cop-looking dudes at Twitter.
-
Apparently the office could use a few licenses for ScreenFlow…
-
Don’t the Rangers have a white flag they can hoist out of their dugout?
-
@Mowyourlawn As in the one that abides?
-
I’ll be in NYC next month for @FOWD, speaking about delight, #NewTwitter, and lessons learned. Hope to see you there.
-
@kevinweil Don’t worry, Kevin. You should see some of the birds that designers have sketched on whiteboards recently. cc @elizabeth

-
@simonsmith001 Thanks, Simon. Great to hear, coming from you. We should catch up soon.
-
@YoavShapira @rk Already exists. Tap on the tweet, then click the “in reply to…” button at the bottom. :-)
-
@rk He did, I think. He’s the man behind the curtain.
-
@kfury Awesome. Congrats on the new gig – you’ll do good things there!
-
@cshrieve No, the pre-existing song was picked for the video – we just requested a version without lyrics.
-
Whoah – Freelance Whales song used in the #NewTwitter video was just in a Chevy commercial.
