This is a valid complaint about Apple’s TouchBar? How many people touch-type with the existing function key row? fastcodesign.com/3065088/the-pr…

👉 “I’m not saying Apple shouldn’t make thin and light notebooks, but why do they all have to be that way?” mjtsai.com/blog/2016/10/2…

Same for quoting a tweet. The meta text here implies a limited convo btw me and @panzer. But that’s not true. twitter.com/panzer/status/…
-
@stop True replies would have always been grouped with the original tweet or convo, making them obvious they’re part of a convo, a la comments.
-
@stop While I was still at Twitter, I proposed, unsuccessfully, that replies always get treated as second-class citizens. Smaller avatar, etc…
-
Replies on Twitter seem so much more complicated and opaque now. Visually consuming and composing them. Sigh.
-
@JustinMezzell Right this second. Tho the idea still includes web components for marketing and sales.
-
So happy for the Cubs and all their fans. They deserve it this year.
-
@stop @thekarachikid … as a replacement for the Moments tab. If it becomes permanent, they would probably remove the mag glass icon in the header.
-
@thekarachikid You must be in a test bucket of users who are seeing this new Explore tab. Not everyone sees that. Twitter is testing it…
-
@KuraFire Don’t assume a head of Product *or* Design has complete dominion and oversight over every shipped pixel/interaction/behavior.

Announcement on our flight: “If you have a Galaxy Note7, don’t turn it on, don’t plug it in, it’s time to get a new phone.”
-
@stop As much as I wanted to see the Giants continue, the Cubs deserve it more this year. I’ll be rooting for them for the rest of the season.

Torture. #SFGiants

The questions are coming via Facebook. *All* of the conversation is on Twitter.
-
@flyosity @artypapers Exactly. Or “design” or any subset of design was one we all longed for. Even tho our feeds were filled with it…
-
@stop @artypapers @flyosity Problem early on was that all efforts used lists, and lists never evolved beyond *all tweets* from a subset of accts.
-
@stop @artypapers @flyosity Moments was preceded by many short-lived attempts, experiments, and hack week efforts. None of them stuck.
-
@stop @artypapers @flyosity Theory was you could follow any topic(s) and supplement your feed, get notifications of highlights, active people, etc
-
@artypapers @flyosity And yes, moments gets partway there. Especially follow-able moments…
-
@flyosity @artypapers Yes, how? We worked on topics over 5 years ago. But then, leadership got shaken up and priorities reprioritized.
-
@smarty Clearly, we were synced on our hat choice. Guy in the Chargers hat next to you kept giving us dirty looks the whole time.

*This* is October baseball for the Giants and their fans. Pulling out all stops at the last minute to slide into Postseason. #evenyear
