@mikeindustries You’re solidly in the crypto now. Already pre-announcing your next post.
-
@ded Ded! I’m sure I could learn a lot from you. Long way to go still, literally.

@andybudd My wife has Tartine’s recipe and has made them several times. They’ve turned out delicious, though it’s a grueling 3-day process. Ironically, she just posted this reel today. instagram.com/reel/CcvIxy-NG…

@andybudd They’re ok. I’ve eaten a few too many at Disneyland. However, I absolutely do not like the latest trend of offering churros for dessert with bitter chocolate dipping sauce. Cinnamon and chocolate do not belong together, ever.

@andybudd I understand bakery addictions. I have a weakness for combinations of cinnamon, sugar, and butter, especially when done well.

@sperte Yep, I understand. For a homegrown experiment, I gave my wife (also a baseball fan) the scenario in the most neutral way I could. Her first reply without having seen any of this: “tie goes to the runner”, which she said she learned in high school!

@joshelman @EEAAOA24 Just watched the trailer and all I can think of is this…
-
@sperte @matt_basement I’ve never heard it that way. Only that the runner must *beat* the ball, which implies a tie is an out. Also, I was curious, so I googled it. Sounds like “tie goes to the runner” is indeed a myth that upsets umps: syndication.bleacherreport.com/amp/225160-com…

@sperte @matt_basement But wait, Matt’s correct, right? Either the runner *beats* the ball to the bag, or they don’t and they’re out. (Maybe you’re both just sparring too.)

@davidbellona Aw! That would have been awesome to catch up with you there. We often avoid the crowds of Waikiki and stay put in Ko Olina. Next time, I’ll let you know!

@jhewiz @tynicka @AlaskaAir Sorry this happened to you and your family. This hits. We’re departing HI, headed back to the mainland on Alaska right now, masked, our girls of similar ages with us. Hard to find many people wearing masks on the flight, even as I hear multiple coughs & sneezes all around us. 😷

@bhaggs Same observation here. Seems like the Covid era was instrumental in rearranging all kinds of priorities.

@miekd @mikeindustries @ezyjules All networking hardware seems to behave like this. Ours hums along for months with no issues. Then suddenly goes through days at a time needing constant power cycles. Then one day it just starts working again. Repeat. We usually blame naval activity down here, but who knows?

@AaronGustafson @mholzschlag @andybudd Nah. Those are all members of the washed-up 80s punk band, VMI (Vivabit Media Inmates) after they supposedly sobered up and went on a speaking tour to fulfill required community service hours. 🤘

@chrisjdavis Respectable if eth. Or if btc, when’s the party?
And if usd, I’ll settle for an orange skittle if you can spare one.
