@PrestonKanak FYI, if you thought that was good, it was part of a TED Radio Hour all about a better you. Also clips on rejection & true meditation. All were good. npr.org/programs/ted-r…

@PrestonKanak Semi-related, I just heard this the other day on NPR – a repeat from 2017. She’s not necessarily focused on breaking habits, but on staying motivated by focusing and seeing things differently. I found her data interesting. npr.org/2017/06/16/532…

@bhaggs @briansweeting @airtable @coda_hq Similarly, I like that there’s an iOS app for Airtable, but it’s also limited for now. And nothing works in a mobile browser yet. ☹️
-
@bhaggs Yeah, Airtable might be too much overhead for that. I mean, it could work for those, if you were already entrenched in it and knew its strengths/weaknesses. But there are probably other uses more suited for it.
-
@kfrost @PrestonKanak @airtable I could probably learn a lot from him, since I just started playing with Airtable 2 weeks ago. Though I did figure out a pretty cool way to customize and display relevant HTML for each image asset that changes per shared view. 👍
-
@stop For example, here are two previews of our Events table, the hub of a much more complex database. What Airtable calls grid view (the default) and gallery view. Other tables in the database (tabs across the top) all link back to these Events.
-
@bhaggs There were several progressive moments for me. I initially dismissed it too after Cam tried using it and shared a base with me – for the same reasons. I viewed it then as a prettier but possibly less-powerful spreadsheet…
-
@stop We started out using Airtable as a super lightweight digital asset manager for distributing graphics to speakers and ambassadors. Now, we’re tracking every detail of every event we host.
-
Legit impressed with Airtable as a powerful, easy-to-use web-based database. Collaborative, multiple views, easy web share links, fast rendering. And the free plan offers plenty to get feet wet. (disclosure: referral link follows) airtable.com/invite/r/L6VTw…

@stop @fredsharples @omid @isaach And also this from the text: “For long-haul flights, the airplane needs to carry additional fuel, leading to higher fuel consumption. Above a certain distance it becomes more fuel-efficient to make a halfway stop to refuel despite the energy losses in descent and climb.”
-
@fredsharples @omid @isaach What finally convinced me this chart wasn’t inverted was realizing it’s not burn over time for a single flight, but rather, a simplification (smoothed line) of thousands of data points from individual flights of varying distances.
-
@Karla_iv Ugh, Walmart maybe, only because of the repetition. I groaned out loud each time one of them finished.
-
Microsoft Auto-Update Daemon, I ban you to the land of silence and inability to notify me that you have yet another update. I’ll use and update your software on my own schedule and at my own risk, thanks.

Oscar commercials are the new Super Bowl commercials.
-
@goldman I think it was Blogger/you that initially connected me to Google, so I share in your bitterness.
-
@artlung Hah, funny. I saw your bio, and thought we probably had some overlapping circles somewhere.
-
@artlung @anthonyrdevine Enjoy the event. Wish I had known about it earlier.
-
@anthonyrdevine @artlung This tweet from 3 mins ago. Supposedly all clear. twitter.com/PLNU/status/10…

@bhaggs They’ll need to skip National and go straight to declaring a Worldwide Emergency.

@joshhemsley @hemeon @mkruz @Stammy Backing up what Josh says here. We saw too many handles get snagged immediately upon changing away from them. Has to be bots/scripts. If you want to ensure you don’t lose it, ask for help from the inside.

@bbodien @snookca @brad_frost Hmm… I haven’t experienced that for the password field yet. I’ve only seen 2FA get copied to the clipboard, no matter which field 1p just filled.
-
@snookca @brad_frost I’ve been wondering why I’ve been seeing this pattern more often recently. Means invoking 1p twice, and definitely slows things down.
-
@bhaggs I guess I’m concerned about the extra step in getting to the profile, and seeing tweets. This slows that task down. Does data show profile views are primarily for bio and following? The goal of tapping on a username/avatar prob changes based on your follow status of that account.
-
@bhaggs I actually don’t really get why this is needed. Currently, tapping a username jumps directly into a profile, and the back button takes you right back to where you were. Same interaction, just sliding sideways instead of up. But panel shows less information and is less helpful.
-
@mikeindustries @jencotton No way would I put McD’s anywhere near the top right of that chart. Their legacy as fry king is overrated. Half the time, they are soggy and undercooked, so texture alone should push them down. Most of the others in the top right quadrant deserve that spot.

@sandofsky I brought mine into the Apple Store at the end of last year to replace the battery (almost 2 years old). They broke the tabs and ended up giving me a brand new model. $29 for a brand new SE direct from Apple.
-
@sandofsky One of the reasons (aside from perfect size) that I still use the SE. Holding on to it until it dies.
-
@rsarver Uh oh. Is this going to ignite another debate over shades of blue and testing?
-
@jeremyreiss Don’t be impressed – doubt it was LV. Just a joke based on the color. 🤷♂️

@kfury Digital Cookie is 4 years old already. And in our experience, a tiny portion of actual sales. girlscouts.org/en/press-room/…
