@willpolley If you’re sticking with Tweetdeck, bug them to update to display URLs, and you’ll see the good stuff too.
-
@willpolley For you. Not for me. Lulz. ;-) cl.ly/2O253O3e302C3T…
-
@halvorson Now that they’re at 2-character slugs, it will be a while. 62*62=3,844 combinations. Right?
-
@manolosavi Of course, that’s in Twitter for Mac. If you’re sticking with Twitterrific, you’ll need to bug them to update their URL display.
-
@kevinthompson @manolosavi @thanland Coming soon to you too: cl.ly/2O253O3e302C3T…
-
@bengold Not in my version of the client. Coming to you soon. cl.ly/2O253O3e302C3T…

@goldman I hope you gave him a few tips.
-
@AdamStadtmiller Definitely worth exploring. We’ve had some similar ideas. Thanks Big Daddy.
-
@LukeW Like the more recent changes. Small note: Twitter uses the bird now instead of the t.
-
@multimichel What do you mean by “counts once”? You can include a username as many times as you want, it’s still only one tweet.
-
@ngassmann @multimichel @mlane Why me? I didn’t hire them or give them their title. Just confirmed they existed (back then at least).
-
@aljosenge True too.
-
@kaikemono Huge improvement for me in both. But it also could depend on what you’re used to.
-
@jamieoliver Thank YOU for everything you’re doing. And thanks for stopping by TwitterHQ last night. Great to hear you in person.

-
@danrubin Any idea what that was referring to?
-
@wilsonminer @mdo Really? Because I see the opposite.

If you’re on a Mac and on 10.6, System Prefs > Appearance > uncheck “Use LCD font smoothing”. Restart. Rejoice that type is bloated no more.
-
@wsttn With the checkbox on, type is bloated and fuzzy. With it off, type gets much crisper.
-
@wsttn At a minimum, you may need to restart any apps. But a full reboot will ensure it takes effect.
-
.@mdo That should be everyone’s first move on a Mac. No idea why ON is the default – it ruins type.
-
@EvI8n Only if the person who named them is a Zoolander fan.
-
@monkchips Yep – as long as the client supports expansion, users should always see the “display” (human readable) URL.
-
@luxuryluke Or, to specifically time-bound it, this: google.com/search?q=site%…
-
@luxuryluke Kinda like this? google.com/search?sclient… cc @mdo @jbrewer @trammell
-
@trammell Glad it wasn’t FAVLIKEMARKED!
-
@cdevroe That’s been discussed. And I think it’s been filed as a bug. (?) cc @sm @joshelman
-
@trammell Someday, remind me to tell you what @CamBowman thought LOTR implied when she read it on my blog (while I was traveling in NZ).
-
@ilovetypography @jbrewer Agreed! Each fave list is like a custom set of curated tweets from that person’s view.
-
@aworkinglibrary @trammell @jbrewer @mdo There’s something special about moms. Mostly, designers at Twitter just like saying #yourmom.
-
@trammell Show that whopper of tweet syntax to your mom and see if she gets it. cc @jbrewer @mdo @aworkinglibrary

RT @jbrewer: #twitterpoll UPDATE: what is your PRIMARY use for Favorites (on Twitter)? For “liking” or for bookmarking?
-
@tomcoates @jbrewer Therein lies their power. Still a signal, whether it’s interesting for now, or interesting for later.
-
@jbrewer Next poll should be “How many of you know your Twitter favorites are (and have always been) public?”
-
@jbrewer What are favorites?
-
@IGGmarketing iBank seems to have most of the needed features – it just seems to run too slow (switching between views, etc)

Hearing my 2yr old daughter scream “I wuv you!” in the other room while she giggles and gets tickled by my wife… priceless.

@Brilliantcrank @eMarketer Seems flawed to discount referrals from social media if they only view one page. That’s all they came for.

@colbay Wow, you got your stuff back, *and* they caught the guys? Rarity. Also, really glad you’re ok.

@luxuryluke @jc @stefsull Friends went away as a term because it’s inaccurate for some mutual follows. The relationships still exist tho.
