RT @jwheare: Exqu.is now has collection permalinks. You can add/remove from them and the URL stays the same. e.g. exqu.is/c/stop/104 /c …

@ubiquitic Merci, François… et bonne année à vous aussi!

Current status: shivering and deteriorating rapidly. So far, #2011 brought me the flu. What has it brought you?
-
@mikeprecious Thanks for the input. Started a trial with Backblaze a couple days ago, but Crashplan has always looked interesting to me too.
-
@mikeprecious That’s my concern too. And the price would only go up over time.
-
@dburka Phew. Before seeing the pic, I envisioned a full-size plunger that sat beside the toilet, and had a slot to hold up your phone.
-
@Squaredeye Ah, I haven’t opened Mail for 4+ years. Gmail & Gcal since then. I still rely on AddressBook + MobileMe for contacts though.
-
@kyle No, I rely on sharing in iTunes/iPhoto for that. Which is a reason I’m still wanting a good backup solution for large media libraries.
-
@Squaredeye Even with Dropbox? I keep 3 different machines completely synced, and I never even need to think about it.
-
@mdo Yeah. There’s also a camera lens on the top right corner. Odd they wouldn’t use the real thing. http://twitpic.com/3mi5x6

Trying to figure out why The Examiner would add 2 extra hardware buttons to their iPhone comp. http://twitpic.com/3mh1a8

@mikeprecious Did you happen to look at Arc, which uses S3?
-
@mikeindustries “Granddaddy” because it’s oldest, and that’s the majority of its audience now that it’s not the sole BCS.
-
@jwheare BTW, fantastic idea to build simple collections like this. Thanks for creating it.
-
@jwheare Ouch. And it looks like I can’t currently update the collection without appending to the URL? (re: my original j.mp URL)
-
@JessiDarko The URL should still work on iOS, but I think exquisitetweets went down. Hopefully I wasn’t the cause…

Lots of Mac backup suggestions, possibly with @backblaze on top. Here are the 90+ replies so far: j.mp/macback

I use Dropbox (50GB plan) for smaller files and miscellany. I’m looking for backup for large libraries like iPhoto, iTunes, etc.

What’s the best (most reliable, easiest to use) backup solution for Macs these days?
