@maupuia @globalmoxie There’s just something about urinals and restrooms in NZ that makes us want to take photos and share them.
-
@AlanHogan Yes, I did get fries. Those were the worst part of the experience. Thick and soggy.
-
@Ed A rather bleak outlook on social media, don’t you think? Even if the author does have a few valid points sprinkled in.
-
Small earthquake in SF?
-
@Ed I use a couple private lists. But I wouldn’t want those I included as members knowing that they’re on one at all, for various reasons.
-
@Ed But that’s the whole advantage of private lists – they don’t broadcast the owner, members, grouping, or list name.
-
@Ed I don’t see how that’s a “huge” hole? You don’t even get to see private lists, so why is it a burden that you’d get added to one?
-
@daringfireball How appropriate that the next logical shortened link for taking of your pants is “ick”… cc @gruber
-
@thekenyeung @joshelman No! The fries at 5g were thick and soggy. The worst part of the experience.
-
Just tried Five Guys for the first time. Left completely unimpressed, and don’t understand the hype. Not even close to In-n-Out.

There’s about to be some pouring of sugar… instagr.am/p/OGO-i/

Eager to dig into what arrived in the ol’ inbox today… previews of @abookapart‘s abookapart.com/products/desig… and abookapart.com/products/mobil…

A warm welcome to @Yarcom, who joined Twitter’s growing @design/team this week.
-
Trusting doctors and anesthesiologists this morning.
-
@rogie That’s not the only bunch. Apparently Wall Street agrees.
-
@jontangerine Excellent. Thanks for writing. Also, next time, respond with “only when you #fff it up”.
-
RT @jontangerine: ‘We, Who Are Web Designers’; a personal thought that’s been ejected from my head after a few years gestation: http:// …
-
@wilsonminer Also seems to be a play to divorce the Netflix brand from a dying biz model, in attempt to sustain forward momentum.
-
@Malarkey Agreed. However, recently, we’ve been wrestling with the similarity of “sign in” vs “sign up”, and wanting to differentiate.
-
@ej We’ll miss you, Eric. Best wishes on you next leg.
-
@sazzy Then you’re overdue for an anniversary visit!
-
@hemeon I’ve tried to explain something similar to mine about reading the tweets. Somehow, that doesn’t work either.
-
@jmwhittaker Yes, the MOMA just down the street with Twitter and Square design teams. Check instagram for more pics.
-
@twotribes @GrumpusNation I noticed some latency and very slow responses this afternoon. But no idea whether anything official happened.
-
@tsheiner That’s the challenge.
-
@vanshea Initially, I thought of them working against each other. But ultimately, excellence can’t be compromised.
-
A deadline should not limit expectations of excellence. Rather, it defines the length of time you have to achieve excellence.
-
@blowery We’re going to try SVN and compare with our existing use of git since our Ops team already has SVN running on a few servers.
-
@Squaredeye @yarcom Either that, or really patient with the Caps key on his phone…
-
@K_P_Brown No worries. I just don’t want my username associated with tweets like that. I get enough accidental mentions as is. ;-)
-
@K_P_Brown @attackwatch Um, excuse me?
-
@nicepaul Is *can* the key operative word there? ;-)
-
@ponjoh @isaach @lorenb @sandofsky If nothing else, you can tell something is consistently off in the compose window: cl.ly/2N2F0S3f0d3R3b…
-
@isaach @ponjoh I was able to reproduce by omitting the http in the URL: cl.ly/0f3x2L2X0N0z12… Otherwise, URLs with http seem fine. cc @lorenb
-
@isaach @ponjoh In both of my quick tests, URLs with # in them seemed fine on twitter.com: twitter.com/#!/stoptest/st… twitter.com/#!/stoptest/st…
-
@isaach Also, that behavior (of interrupting the hashtag) is consistent across several apps, not just web.
-
@isaach Did you see my link to this tweet over the weekend? It’s how I verified it: twitter.com/stoptest/statu…

@1Password The old extension just felt much more native, smooth, and out-of-the-way. This new one is clunky, and suffers from over-design.
-
@1Password Yes, but how do I save overtop of (or update) an existing record? Also, the icons on the ext look nothing like the app’s icons.
-
Hoping the two fighter jets that just flew low over SF a minute ago were part of a tribute and not part of a response.
-
@lewy76 Yep, and works in most of our native clients as well. Different parsers written by different folks at different times…
-
@SmileyKeith @1Password Yep – keyboard shortcuts seem much more unreliable now.
-
@1Password I really dislike the new Safari extension. It’s so much more clunky and difficult to use than the old one pre 5.1.
-
@Squaredeye I imagine it was an intentional decision years ago. The more common uses, like #1 or #2 are not intended to be hashtags.
-
@SangitaSri @softykid Neither of those are screenshots from twitter.com. My tweet only referenced the web client at twitter.com.
-
@snookca We’re working on that. See Dick’s message last week to the press: techcrunch.com/2011/09/08/twi…
