@F6x Includes the new bird as well. A hitch in the app store process means a delay for showing the new icon there.
-
@mikeindustries At least it’s not screwing every single tweet that happens to walk by now.
-
@Pifman I’ve heard this is a bug in iPhone’s springboard, not with Twitter’s app.
-
@mikeindustries Actually, you could go with the favbot model. @Favstar50 and @favstar100 each have diff thresholds. #forkthecode
-
@mikeindustries @luxuryluke @jkottke Thank God. That @anildash dude goes on Fave binges several times a day…
-
@flyosity Apparently any additional durations are problematic when translated.
-
@mikeindustries About time! Your bot dominates my timeline frequently. (But tweets are often good enough that I haven’t unfollowed yet.)
-
@kirstygilbertx Technically, you can’t sign out. But you can go to the iPhone’s Settings app, and remove your account from the phone.
-
@TimothyWhalin BTW, sounds like there’s a bug in iPhone’s springboard – if you restart your phone, the app icon should update.
-
@TimothyWhalin Strong separation of public and private content.
-
@AJKandy @TimothyWhalin Have you updated the app today? Tapping on the avatar now goes to the profile.
-
@TimothyWhalin Might be a possibility. A little trickier UX-wise, because you’re in a limited modal when viewing DMs.
-
@TimothyWhalin @AJKandy Should be updated there too.
-
@AJKandy @TimothyWhalin That’s exactly how it works now.
-
@TimothyWhalin Sorry you feel that way. Getting to a profile from a tweet is one of the most frequent use cases…
-
@atmattt Today for iOS.
-
RT @sunghu: Twitter for iPhone and Android updates available now! Expanded tweets, push notifications for tweets, and more. http://t.co/ …
-
@CimotA Apparently so. Many schools still require printed pages for writing and research assignments.
-
@AlanHogan Eh? Twitter/Mac uses the streaming API. There is no refresh. My tweets appear immediately in the timeline. Yours don’t?
-
@binder And you used PrintShop and a dot matrix printer to print a banner that read “GET OFF MY LAWN”, right? Oh, just me?

The iPad Experiment: Why I’ve been using a real computer today tabletexperiment.wordpress.com/2012/02/12/why…
-
My thoughts: for a resourceful student, the iPad could function very well as a full laptop substitute, given a few extra trips to the lab.
-
Overall, responses so far are probably ~75% against the iPad (for now), 25% in favor but cautiously so.
-
Summary: challenges of using an iPad only for college: printing, IT support, some uses require Flash, coding, multi-tasking.
-
Responses were mixed (to my question about college students using an iPad instead of a laptop).
-
@OlsonAH82 Yes, I’m concerned about what the IT dept at school would support in terms of printing and other needs.
-
I should clarify my last question: given cost, the choice would be between a basic PC laptop and a low-end iPad.
-
@hasalynmodine Even those could be done with an external keyboard, right?
-
@JamesPChristian Thanks – that’s what I’m concerned about.
-
@noahlt But you could supplement with an external keyboard for large typing tasks, no?
-
Asking for my niece: Can college students now do everything they need to do for school with only an iPad, and no PC or Mac laptop?
-
@zeldman Surprising, given how much you’ve done together – I still haven’t met him after knowing him for a good 10 years. cc @danbenjamin
-
@jasonsantamaria Got you beat:
-
@trammell Uh-uh, no way. That was forced. See twitter.com/trenti/status/…
-
@martymadrid Good move. Auto reg in CA can be hundreds of bills.
-
Hey Apple. Technically, it’s pull *and release* to refresh. ;-)
-
@Trenti Hope you can turn up the volume in your head. MARCONI PLAYS THE MAMBA!
-
Someone always playing corporation games…
-
@lacelovegrove Sorry. Which part is confusing?
-
@skyrize How long are you in town?
-
@DBeckner Send it back and tell them you’re not cashing it until they add an M to the back of that number.
-
@alexgiron They obviously haven’t been to Disneyland yet.

@DavidKaneda True about our body’s limits. But that hasn’t stopped print from progressing beyond 300dpi.
