@67Chester Confused by this. How do you mean?
-
Why the surge of LinkedIn requests over the past couple weeks?
-
@craigmod How so? The delivery rules haven’t changed. You still only see replies to other people you follow.
-
@tomcoates @smcbride I was wondering what the count had gotten up to. Not that I want to test it, but I wonder if it accounts for 4 digits.
-
@jina Good. Let me know if you still feel that way after using it for several days.
-
@mike_ftw Forget the thread Mike. I feel like *we* should start over.
-
@mike_ftw @steveportigal @billder @AndrewCrow @rodbegbie @thelancearthur @mulegirl @mat @darth @jkottke @tomcoates @anildash @mathowie #hugs
-
@fromedome And? What do you think?
-
@amac Thank you all you brought to Twitter and gave to the world. Honored to have worked with you.
-
@kauranamoda It will show up in your Home timeline, not in this view. And only if you’ve updated the app.
-
It’s like they had advance warning or something. Indie pop band @theblueline switched over to @clonesofclones a few months ago…
-
@snookca Stop it now. You’re making too much sense.
-
@kauranamoda Mostly. Though through unique circumstances, two people you follow can surface a convo starter by someone you don’t follow.
-
@dsa @joshelman @isaach Easier than that. And (for now) still free: just change your link color on web.
-
@mkruz @mikeindustries So if there was any trashing of the place (or burning down) by the time we get back next week, don’t blame Design…
-
@robbyrussell Quite a story. Congrats on the forward momentum.
-
@designcaffeine @cwodtke Only if you’re following them. Bad behavior will result in unfollows.
-
@dburka @RyanChris @rsarver @mulegirl That’s the thing: we’ve learned over time that initial reactions are not the best barometer.
-
@rsarver @mkruz Yes. You probably missed this tweet from yesterday: (another thing we need to fix) twitter.com/stop/status/37…
-
A new feature that highlights conversations sure has sparked a lot of conversation. Good or bad, it’s all good in my view.
-
@stop @rsarver @hunterwalk Even though they’ve been present all along,
-
@rsarver @hunterwalk Loving this feature even more now that you all have it. It’s like conversations have suddenly sprung to life.
-
@AndrewCrow @hunterwalk @om There was a time when we believed the compose field might be intimidating, that it would discourage use.
-
@dsa @joshelman I wish it were easier to to branch the experience and try different treatments for different types of users.
-
@simplebits Very well written, @JustinMezzell. I, for one, am quite happy with talent we’ve discovered on Dribbble.
-
@ZachInglis No. But we know from experience that there is always initial reaction that dissipates or turns around over time.
-
@subcide True. The line between frustrated but constructive criticism and cruel put-downs is wide and blurry. @cameronmoll @luxuryluke
-
@luxuryluke We’re turning off all replies for you now. Also, be careful, we can lock your avatar too. ;-) @cameronmoll
-
@brianalvey Curious – are lists still a part of your regular experience?
-
@paulozoom Thanks for the feedback. But let us know if certain aspects aren’t working for you after using it for a while.
-
@paulozoom Yep. We’re still tinkering with how often replies get grouped with previous tweets, vs replies coming in standalone.
-
@trm234567 Agreed. That was one of the reasons we wanted to aggregate signal around a single tweet – to reduce the redundancy.
-
@dsa @joshelman Issue: most users still don’t know about the permalink, and many don’t expand. Thus, they never even see the connections
-
@paulozoom You can send feedback. But as far as I know, what you’re seeing is intentional, not a bug. Grouping is conservative right now.
-
@mdo Are you sure that’s not LA in the afternoon?
-
@mike_ftw I’m glad you think I’m worthy of being at the top of your timeline for so long.
-
@flyosity Oh oh. I’m always suspicious if you like something immediately. ;-)
-
@ideal1st See? This is what it took to get us talking on Twitter… ;-)
-
@ideal1st And yet, we’re easily having one.
-
@jeremeyf Took me a bit as well.
-
@boagworld Hmm. It shouldn’t be *only* then. But the convo function conservatively takes into account many variables before grouping.
-
Love watching all the critics of change on Twitter. I’m reminded of how much everyone HATED Retweet when Twitter officially implemented it.
