@DominicScott If I understand your question right, you can change what the Connect tab displays in Settings. (All or Mentions only).
-
@briggles The tweets so far have me worried.
-
@swissmiss I’d be really surprised if you haven’t yet thought about combining @teuxdeux and @tattly – flickr.com/photos/robands…
-
@luxuryluke @jbrewer @cameronmoll @Yarcom Screw this whole circle avatar thing. Faces aren’t round. I’m going straight to oval avatars.

Wow. His “Leave of Presence” suddenly hits home in a different way. suntimes.com/17320958-761/r…

RIP, @ebertchicago. You’ll be missed.
-
@fruoit @mikeindustries Thanks for the feedback, Mac. Mobile and desktop apps have definitely reset expectations for new content loading in.
-
@scrivs c.f. Kindle with Special Offers, and Kindle without.
-
@dgvilalta @redbility Thanks, please do. Any specific platform or app, or set of them?
-
@wikiweeks @anildash @gruber Might buy it only if this was a measure of mobile web. That’s the only way it might be tracked semi-accurately.
-
@gruber Wouldn’t it be virtually impossible for a third party to accurately measure native app usage that they don’t control?
-
@mkruz See, you said you were 2 years ahead of everyone. They’re closing the gap…
-
@bergrbergr No idea. But I do know it’s nearly impossible for any outside company to accurately measure native app usage.
-
Oh no, more circle avatars… aka “chatheads”
-
@flyosity You get the award for best running commentary so far.
-
@gruber Seems strategic to include it at all (in the last slot).
-
@mkruz We don’t need to wait 20 years to do that. We can do it now.
-
@RyanBarton Yep. Easily. You end up using each experience like that to get stronger. Because some things get easier, others more difficult.
-
@sippey No, opposite. Artists are hesitant to attach specific value to work. Where engineers constantly calculate the value of any work.
-
@sippey @fimoculous @mikeindustries I also think there’s a stark contrast in the willingness to attribute specific value to one’s work.
-
@halvorson Just because you don’t want happiness forever… Can’t others be allowed to have it? cc @sazzy

@pandemona Good article on a great person. Glad to see @goldman getting recognition for making stuff happen.
-
@AdamS Are you sure it’s misdirected? ;-)
-
@AdamS Oh… my.

@notasausage @mezzoblue I think the Zen Garden work fooled both of us into thinking it would be easier than it ended up being.
-
@mezzoblue It was nine (!) years ago yesterday that we swapped designs. Glad we don’t do this anymore. stopdesign.com/pages/2004/04/…

@brad_frost @halvorson @benbrown It’s ok to blame Twitter. If the product were designed correctly, this exchange would have flown freely.

Our video team tries out a new style of animation (led by @bigchaz) for the latest business intro:
-
@thegreatsunra @veen Nine years already? Good lord. Sounds like we didn’t scare you out of the profession though. So that’s good.
-
@brad_frost Ah, it goes way deeper than that, my friend. Remember Zoolander?
-
@TimHaines Not sure if it’s consistent. I tend to use it for messages that I want to stand out, even if already labeled.
-
@TimHaines It’s called Starred and Not starred intentionally (as opposed to Favorite) so you can use it for anything you want.
-
@TimHaines It’s the same as applying a label. Adds that conversation to a list for later recall. Just gets special visual treatment.
-
OH: “Only one more sleep until tomorrow, right?”
-
@jcknotts My phone (in panorama mode).
-
@trammell Well, this explains a lot about our first interview. cc @SchauerTime
-
@notasausage Right. My point is that “SafeUnsubscribe” is basically fictitious. It doesn’t exist. Anyone can use that link for any purpose.
-
@notasausage That’s just a language pattern adopted to look official/safe. It seemed to originate with SafeSubscribe from Constant Contact.
-
Don’t troll @mkruz too hard. Otherwise, he’ll crumple up his latest poster and throw it at you. cc @dbedingfield
-
@giron Apply any color overlay, and it would make a beautiful desktop wallpaper.
-
@Robin2go @samanthatoy A small selection of accounts have that option. See the official statement at the end of this: thenextweb.com/twitter/2011/0…
