@CornerTavern It is supposed to be based on your interests, and not be random. And you shouldn’t be seeing multiple. cc @attaboy
-
@CornerTavern Are you referring to a promoted tweet? Or are you really seeing what looks like spam? Sceenshot?
-
“Anyone who believes that a second is faster than a decade has not lived my life.”
-
@KuraFire Yes, that’s what we still debate. If following convo order, earliest first. But if timeline order, latest first.
-
@KuraFire It’s funky like this. Until you see a tweet with replies. Or one with multiple in-reply-tos.
-
@jimmaiella Definitely a bug then. I’ll check if it’s known. Thanks.
-
@TimHaines I think all notification emails need to be made responsive, right? Including RT, Fav, Followers… cc @VL
-
@jimmaiella Are they DMs that you’ve read elsewhere? Or that you’ve read there on twitter.com?
-
RT @msquinn: SOPA explained: “The Danger of an Attack on Piracy”. A good primer for your friends & family outside the bubble. http://t. …
-
@bensk Text is considered too small to interact with on the timeline. Esp. when links are stacked, chances are high user will tap wrong one.
-
@iarchitectorg I already have those in Pages, Numbers, and Keynote. Even the simplified Pages UI doesn’t focus like @iAWriter does.
-
@iarchitectorg If you’re suggesting I install and launch MS Word, you’ve completely missed the point.
-
Just gave @iAWriter (Mac) a go for the first time today. I really like the distraction-free model. Cut my task time in half, maybe more.
-
@wcdolphin It’s on mobile because it was there before Twitter owned it. It’s more that we haven’t removed it from mobile yet.
-
@maxvoltar @bryanveloso @mdo No promises yet, they’re just hacking. It would still need infra and prod and support behind it. #notsmall
-
@bryanveloso @maxvoltar @mdo Something that we’d like to see too. A few eng began hacking on this recently in their spare time. We’ll see.
-
@wcdolphin Web has never had a quote tweet feature. We may eventually bring that to web, but in a different form – no mod of the orig tweet.
-
@Trenti Happy New Year’s Eve Eve Birthday, my friend. Your hangovers come a day early, eh?
-
@jimmaiella For now (until we address this visibly) you can tap on the user action button, and check if you can message him. If so, he is.
-
@MrBrandonBaker It means Twitter would likely not just implement it in one client, or differently in each client, because folks use multiple
-
@MrBrandonBaker Across the multiple clients Twitter supports… iPhone, iPad, Android, Mac, TweetDeck, web, BlackBerry
-
@MrBrandonBaker It’s much easier for a single client to implement it. A bigger problem to provide it across multiple clients.
-
@MrBrandonBaker It’s not that they can’t – but that a cross client solution doesn’t exist yet.
-
@MrBrandonBaker Anything that’s done now is on the client only, and is annoying that it changes for each client (like DM unread count)
-
@MrBrandonBaker A little beyond my territory. But I know one of the issues if lack of cross-client syncing or API-level unread counts.
-
@MrBrandonBaker Sigh – the badge count (at 1) is something that’s bothered me for a long time. It’s been that way since push got introduced.
-
@MrBrandonBaker Unsure of timing right now. Lots of things to address. And follow state on any profile is coming too.
-
@MrBrandonBaker It may not be a swipe, but some form of shortcuts to tweet actions will likely return soon. And copy too.
-
@olivierlacan We’re acutely aware of the shortcomings of conversations – in finding, following, participating, and more.
-
@tapbot_paul @PapaCl1ck @Seal I agree. It’s one of the things that attracted me here in the first place.
-
@PapaCl1ck @Seal Hah. No higher ups here. I love that the product itself is a great forum for listening and keeping the team accessible.
-
@Seal Really appreciate your feedback. Has anyone else from Twitter reached out to you yet to offer assistance, or answer any questions?
-
@PapaCl1ck @Seal But some of the changes we’ve made so far for new users will require a bit of adjustment for existing & advanced users.
-
@PapaCl1ck @Seal I’d love to be able to hit that sweet spot (or have a suite of apps that’s flexible to reach all).
-
@Seal By the way, in the Twitter app, swiping up from the Me tab will bring up DMs. A glow there indicates new DMs.
-
@Seal Well, you may not a power user (yet). Anyone with over 1k followers ends up using Twitter differently than those with fewer.
-
@Seal The design of this version of the Twitter apps was all about simplifying. Removing less-used features, reorganizing to clarify.
-
@Seal @PapaCl1ck Right. Don’t assume this is the end state. This is just the beginning. We’ll continue to listen to feedback.
-
@Seal To be honest, it’s likely optimizing for more mainstream users, not more advanced/power users like you.
-
@camfisk How is that relevant? The only thing he initially mentioned was tweeting, so I asked about that.
-
@Seal I’m creative director here, and lead the design team. Thus why your comments about the design caught my eye.
-
@Seal Cool. I’m curious what you think is better about Tweetbot’s tweet screen? cl.ly/2I2M0e2H0X1a2V…
-
@emilychang So would I. (synced read state for DMs)
-
@twotribes Thanks for flagging. cc @techno
