@KuraFire We also have the glow under the Home link. But only for the Home timeline. We need better means of signaling new * in every view.
-
@KuraFire Yes, the movement is sometimes odd, but it’s been a good indicator of new content without checking the top of the page.
-
@KuraFire Funny, because that was also in #oldtwitter – one feature we didn’t change because it’s been so popular. @ded
-
@iA So then the question is: do you plan to create a version of Writer that also runs on the iPhone?
-
@iA Still, this seems a little like designing a Mac app, but not supporting the 11″ Air, no?
-
@jpamental Doesn’t sound right. Interaction is the same, as is core framework. Only diff is canvas size, right? @Squaredeye @iA @beep
-
@jpamental So far, no conflicts here. I primarily use the iPhone client + JustNotes. Not much use of the web version. /cc @bradhaynes
-
@Squaredeye Not a critique, just curious: why only design for the iPad and not both iOS devices? (responsive design?) /cc @iA @beep
-
@bradhaynes Plus, I never use Evernote’s more sophisticated features like text recognition.
-
@bradhaynes I used to like Evernote. But I think it’s gone down the path of adding too much. Feels heavy to launch it or create a note now.
-
@StevePeternell Not yet. Been using it for about a year now. Though more heavily the last 2 months.
-
@JasonSilvestri That’s what we’ve found too – for some, #newtwitter takes some time to get used to. After that, often golden. /cc @mikeypx
-
@gah650 I’m liking JustNotes better than NV. Feels lighter weight.
-
@shinypb Whoah, no problems with double-syncing to both Simplenote *and* Dropbox?
-
@conscience I’m not a Mail user anymore, so can’t say. Syncs beautifully though. And JustNotes supports some Markdown formatting…
-
@eportelance Yes. But something about JustNotes stuck, where NV didn’t. JustNotes feels lighter weight to me, even with the UI color.
-
@luxuryluke Result of an API formatting change: http://twitter.com/#!/atebits/status/7101463209713664
-
@TobyLeftly JustNotes is simple, & doesn’t offer much. That’s why I like it. Turn on formatting if you want a little extra markdown help.
-
Simplenote (iPhone & Web) + JustNotes (Mac) has become my go-to solution for fast, easy, light-weight thought recording everywhere.
-
@davincidiva Old-school RTs (the manual way) are they way you edit them. New-school RTs maintain the integrity of the original tweet.
-
@aapljack The actual definition isn’t super positive either: http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Diaspora /cc @tylersticka
-
Diaspora will need to rise above the typical open source design aesthetic if it hopes to grow beyond geek culture.
-
Your grace is sometimes defined by how well you handle someone spilling an entire cup of coffee on you.
-
@aexmo Agreed on feedback about new messages. For position, we wanted the link globally accessible, no matter where you navigate to.
-
@mikeindustries If they’re not pointing at something, why use them at all? Even for speech bubbles?
-
@mikeindustries Agreed. Divot has always seemed an odd choice to me.
-
@aexmo What’s broken for you about it?
-
@SeanShatto Guess it depends on your point of view…
-
@OhSoGlam The tweet being replied to is displayed immediately above if you open it in the details pane. Much faster than #oldtwitter.
-
.@mattbot Why call it fluff? Elaborate, if you will. Most of the points in that article aren’t directly related to #newtwitter.
-
@mikeindustries Hmm. Not sure we’d swap that one out, even for our own less interesting “divots” or “pointers”.
-
RT @jasonmustian: Body scans and genital fondlings would save more lives if our Government was paying to have them done in hospitals rat …
-
@mikeindustries Is that what you called them in design review?

Can’t decide whether the scroll indicators on the right of this story are clever or too distracting: http://j.mp/e98vwQ

A few responses to Jolie O’Dell at Mashable about redesigns and building a design team: http://j.mp/gbJP71
-
@MLBee No problem. There’s quite a bit of extra info we pushed over to the details pane to keep the timeline (on the left) clean and simple.
-
@cameronmoll One of the negative aftereffects of buying a home. Especially because it becomes public record.
-
@MLBee You can open any tweet in the details pane to view the client name they used to tweet.
-
@Moni_Q89 What don’t you like about it?
-
@cb_xoxo Why do you say that?
-
Wonder if this will count toward free space on Dropbox for Kennedy… http://j.mp/dGMnlY
-
@KennedyPittman Creative. But I’m not quite sure they’d count this one.
-
What’s with all these “I love Dropbox because” tweets today? None of them seem to link to an explanation of the because part.
-
@briggles The whistle goes woo woo! Thanks for sticking around long enough to see this day through.

Half bath makeover in 1 day: tore out sink & med cabinet; added new trim, new paint, installed new sink, mirror, towel bars. Got stuff done.
-
@snookca Bug, wherein there’s a div from the right that’s sometimes sitting on top of that last link.
