@hassan @jensimmons It is amazing that after all these years, Twitter still has a detailed log of specific events from back then.
-
@stop I also had no idea the impact it would have on me. Thanks, Twitter, and everyone here who makes this place what it is.
-
8 years ago today, I signed up for Twitter at SXSW. Back then, we had no idea the enormity of impact Twitter would have on the world.
-
@jmt I wouldn’t call them knockoffs… the owner grew up in Buenos Aires. ;) She just happens to live here now: woodentablebaking.com/about/
-
@stop @mrb @philcoffman And I have a tiny bit of experience with unintentional mentions. ;)
-
@mrb @philcoffman Otherwise, misdirected @-mentions would plague many users. That’s a problem both for the receiver, and the Instagramer.
-
@mrb @philcoffman This is the reason. Without a linked account, IG can’t assume a user has the same account name on Twitter.
-
@justinfrench Yes, like for me to set up a template for someone else to change/produce on a regular basis. Simple double-sided card stuff.
-
@shinypb Yep – seems like targeting a 50 or even 250-mile radius would be more appropriate.
-
@timoni desktop publishing ;)
-
@c41 @themaninblue Nah – more like double-sided postcard-size inserts. Versions that get created on a monthly basis.
-
@c41 Hmm, maybe. I’ve had a limited vision of Canva if so. Is this what you intended Canva for, @themaninblue?
-
@johnallsopp @rioter Adobe certainly has web-based versions of CC apps in development, right? Looking for something now though. :)
-
@johnallsopp @rioter I’d take a stripped down set of layout features, as long as it supported a replicable template.
-
Anyone know of a good web-based DTP alternative to InDesign or Quark?
-
@joshelman I don’t think they went that far. Apple plays the game of favoring acceptable tradeoffs to move forward.
-
@thatchrismiller This will ease your brain. Or not. twitter.com/michaeldick/st…

@stop A dedicated MagSafe power port plus a separate USB-C port would have been ideal.
-
Giving up the tear-away MagSafe power port for USB-C still feels like a regression. Even tho USB-C is multi-capable.
-
@Malarkey imo, the macbook portion was more impressive.
-
Brushed metal: “I’m back, bitch.”
-
@Trenti Aka, single-day battery life.
-
How did he fit his credit cards inside his watch?
-
Aloomineum.
-
@Stammy s/thinks/knows
-
@Stammy That’s where they’re going to blow your mind. No local storage.
-
Only Jony’s team would take the time to improve something no one has asked for, but everyone will subconsciously appreciate: the keyboard.
-
@dandgough @mladenz @Yarcom Agree that it’s distracting when you notice someone else glance at a normal watch, mid-conversation?
-
@Yarcom Also, I predict much more RSI with wrists and forearms. Notice how unnatural it feels to turn your wrist in for longer than 10 secs?
-
@dandgough @mladenz @Yarcom Problem could be many more glances & distractions. It’s already telling when someone glances at a normal watch.
-
@benpeck A huge part of the vibe comes from the people that attend. Supportive, curious, creative, builder types.
-
@jmt Not sure if you view this as blasphemy or genius. Nevertheless, thought of you when I saw these.
-
@sippey Apple and prepositions. Also see: “Available on the App Store”

Fun spending time tonight with the fine folks of @design. And congrats on joining the exclusive 5yr club, @bhaggs. twitter.com/design/status/…
-
@Daniels_Caudill @roach @bhaggs @Zhanna I think @design could use some cardboard cutouts of these photos. Too bad they’re not full-body.
-
@Malarkey I remember that like it was yesterday.
