@craigmod I still stand by my v1 Oasis as the perfect reader. We also have a v2 for comparison that my wife received at an Amazon event. As with other tech (iPhone SE) I prefer the smaller size and lighter weight of v1. And its ability to add extra battery via the cover.

@dburka @halvorson @mg @jmspool @RellyAB @feather @mjmetts @awelfle @jsaito Our team always advocated at Twitter to use Sentence case for everything. But iOS engineers fought us on it because of the non-native feel. Sentence case, IMO, is typically more legible, friendly, and appropriately allows for Proper Noun emphasis.

@flyosity I’m still skeptical given the ingredient list is still mostly things I can’t pronounce. Highly processed, and not very natural sounding, right? I guess soy protein is the star. faq.impossiblefoods.com/hc/en-us/artic…
-
@drwave Bonkers. And also super interesting in the various turns it took. Could easily be the skeleton of several novels.
-
@ericharr A very privileged dream, for sure. Our first big road trip with the girls.

-
@boltron I was thinking it was my pulse shaking me. Then confirmed my wife was thinking the same thing, and she definitely felt it too.
-
@jeffrey The more we 🤔 about it, the 😡 we get at him.
-
@Moore I wish there was humor to find to 3-5 sounding like 35. But that’s just awful. Sorry, Jonathan.
-
@mikeindustries Better yet, Superhuman could make this the default signature for all its users, with no way for them to opt out.
Doesn’t solve the original problem. But flips it around for a different perspective.
-
@marlonbishop Not necessarily high profile, but early adopters with short usernames.
-
@codyL Yep – do some simple google searches. Becoming more and more common, and mobile phone cos haven’t caught up. TOTPs aren’t perfect either. But more difficult to intercept the secret.
-
SMS for two-factor needs to be abolished. Too many friends are getting accounts hacked via sim swaps.
-
@mor10 WP Migrate DB Pro – use it for pushing/pulling to and from staging servers too.
-
@tbaxter @Disneyland Yes, plenty of good ones. Our latest fave in DCA is Lamplight Lounge. But until now, the only one in DL was Club 33 (if you can get in)
-
@brian @Disneyland Sounds like something my wife has been gently prodding me to consider doing or curating under the umbrella of small-size @flockpresents events.
-
@stop We experienced #OgasCantina through the lens of bringing our two kids in with us. Since lots of families will experience #StarWarsLand this way, we thought it was an important perspective to share. We’d love to return without the kids soon and compare the experiences.
-
@jina Must be new. We have multiple active accounts. Some with no phone number attached at all.
-
@jina Is this new? I have tons of accounts, but don’t remember needing unique phone numbers.
-
Thirsty adults have waited for a watering hole in @Disneyland for decades. A bar at the edge of the galaxy has finally arrived. Here’s everything you should know about getting in and experiencing Oga’s Cantina in Star Wars Land. bigcrazylife.com/201906/ogas-ca…

@simplebits Loved reading this, Dan. And love what you and Rich gifted to all of us. Not only the product, but the thought, the grief, the stress, the joy. All of it.
Reading these words pulls me back to the simpler days of enjoying everything on SimpleBits. Always helpful, practical. 🙏

@jeremyreiss Wow, two big moves for a whole family. So glad we had you out west for a few years. Nothing but respect for you, JR. Best wishes for the move.
-
@bigchaz @lynnawiltse Oh, snap. Chaz pulling through with a possible solution. Lynn – I worked with Charles at Twitter for a couple years. He’s good people (and has lots of cool toys).
-
@taramann @tinastsh @mikeindustries Ours said Sat afternoons were the best time for walk-ins, so I’m going to take my chances later today.
-
@kaigradert For Real IDs too? Me thinks the DMV is the only one able to process those.
-
@stop @mikeindustries @brittanyforks Also, I assume (just like Davidson’s advice about maintenance) that you’re not installing it yourself? Our contractors were cursing us for how brutal it was on their impact drills. They burned thru over 100 bits.
-
@mikeindustries @bhaggs @brittanyforks Yeah, Haggs. That is one thing to think about. Our kids are getting splinters every now and then. And for some reason (dense grain of ipe?) they’re a bitch to get out. I had one once. No more bare feet for me.
-
@mikeindustries @bhaggs @brittanyforks And I know that I am not one of those people, no matter what it paid.
-
@taramann @mikeindustries Not sure which one you’re at – but I remember always finding shorter lines in Daly City. SF was always brutal.
-
@mikeindustries @bhaggs @brittanyforks Uh, you’ve seen the size of our deck, right? A railing is one thing. Applying that stuff to 500sf of deck boards would be torture on my back.
-
That sinking feeling when you realize your drivers license just expired yesterday, and the DMV here has no appointments for 6 months out.
-
@mikeindustries @bhaggs @brittanyforks I use ours on our ipe wood deck once a year. Restores it back to original color, until it grays out again from sun and moisture over 12 months.
-
@mikeindustries @bhaggs @brittanyforks Gotcha. I can imagine a power sprayer inflicting damage to traditional roof shingles, especially on a high/concentrated setting.
-
@mikeindustries @bhaggs @brittanyforks Why are you power spraying your roof? Shingles? Tile? Some other material? And I would not consider our sprayer portable, even tho it has wheels. As heavy as an air compressor (and as loud).
-
@stop So much for brevity. Apparently 140/280 character bursts hasn’t limited my ability to ramble on and on when it comes to things I’m passionate about.
-
Dipping my toe back in, I ended up writing a 2700+ word post dealing with teaching kids about money. I have more in the works… twitter.com/stop/status/11…
-
@Malarkey We’re not in SF anymore, Toto. 👠
-
@shiflett Thanks, Chris. You’re good at this remembering thing. ( Sadly, I’m not.)
-
@Malarkey Thanks, mate. Miss hanging out with you.
-
@shaneadams @Adweek @zeldman Hah! And I remember feeling like I was late to the party when I signed up spring of ’07 at SXSW. It felt *to me* like everyone had already been using Twitter forever then. SXSW ’07 was the first year we saw Twitter influence crowds walking out of one session and going to another.
-
@peetahbooty @USAA Knowing that you must have invested quite a bit of time and effort into your project, I’ll be curious about the natural comparisons you make if/once you check out @rooster_money.

Trying to teach your kids about spending and saving when cash is nearly invisible these days? I wrote an in-depth piece about this, including a detailed review of a helper app we’re using to teach our kids about money. Hope it’s useful for you. bigcrazylife.com/201906/teachin…

@mikeindustries @Stammy @dtrinh Davidson recommends a Microsoft product to combat tracking primarily used by commercial entities, and my world feels upside down.
-
@Stammy @mikeindustries @dtrinh If only a feature like this could be baked in by default. Especially on mobile. Who uses desktop browsers anymore? 😉
