@mikeindustries I once had a whole chunk of my nose taken out with one of those wooden rulers with the metal insert. Tools as weapons.
-
@mikeindustries @Trenti Just checking to see if he kept a ruler in his desk. His offended reaction was priceless.
-
@trudesign @aral @danielmall There’s certainly nothing wrong with enhancing your own skill set – just don’t view it as a requirement.
-
@aral @trudesign @danielmall @bobulate While a good program may grab my attention, it’s the portfolio & communication style that matters.
-
@TimHaines @hoverbird @isaach Protocol given is -http, which isn’t valid, right? (accidentally) It’s the browser that wraps that text.
-
@Rustin @UnculturedSwine It’s already fixed on our internal build. Should be released soon.
-
RT @kkwalker: Thanks to all who participated in #1d4d and of course: @espiekermann @bobulate @bogusky @stop @ucllc @gelatobaby @debbiemi …
-
@jrome Looks like it’s just missing the style sheet. Probably just a delay or time out on loading it.
-
@Squaredeye No, but tasks in RTM usually aren’t attached to a date. You can assign a due date though.
-
@ssawchenko I haven’t heard the bad stereotypes. Of designers or companies? Or something else?
-
@ssawchenko Promoting web design now is a matter of pushing attention to people who are writing and experimenting in interesting ways.
-
@ssawchenko @bogusky Hey Stephanie, I saw Alex answering lots of questions today. Apologies I didn’t get to yours yet. I’ll look for it now.
-
@sryanvsa @onedayfordesign Awesome. Hope you have some really good data, ideas, and feedback mixed in there.
-
I’m sure @onedayfordesign captured many more tweets. I collected just over 400 of them from my streams: j.mp/fXLmQp #1D4D
-
RT @onedayfordesign: A heartfelt *thank you* to everyone who participated in #1D4D today. Oh, that sound you hear now? That’s us crunchi …
-
@CrossHatching Hmm, lofty. I like it.
-
My final #1D4D question: How do you see Design as an industry evolving over the next 10 years?
-
@Squaredeye For to-dos, RTM works for me, especially since it allows me to maintain separate lists. Maybe TDs multiple accounts handles that
-
@Squaredeye Excellent, thanks. I was wondering how you used/integrated teux deux, since I already use the other two, also as Fluid SSBs.
-
@thedesignguy_ca Depends on what type of job you’re applying for. We require that designers have online portfolios.
-
@thedesignguy_ca It’s not one thing, but a combination: diversity, complexity of problems, organizational skills, eye, success… #1D4D
-
What would make a professional design org valuable enough to pay for? Something you’d want to be a part of? #1D4D
-
@PauliMaldonad0 Aha – did you see what @espiekermann tweeted earlier? twitter.com/#!/espiekerman… #1d4d
-
@matthewmunoz Oh, completely missed that one. Thanks. Thought it might be a critique of what we were doing here. ;-)
-
@matthewmunoz Missing some context here. Is this in reply to a tweet? Or a request for us?
-
If you design for a living, when you describe design to a non-designer friend, how do you describe it? #1D4D
-
.@wardandrews Agree. I’ve met so many people in online communities (mainly Twitter now) and have gotten to meet/know them offline too. #1D4D
-
Designers now seek and find physical and virtual community in many places that didn’t exist 20 years ago. #1D4D
-
The value of a centrally-run national or global design org has diminished compared to what was needed 20 years ago. #1D4D
-
RT @mlhdesigner: “Don’t worry about people stealing your design work. Worry about the day they stop.” – @zeldman #1D4D
-
RT @jnorvaisas: @steveportigal @stop How could this experience be improved? I feel like there’s all kinds of value just washing right by …
-
@jnorvaisas @steveportigal I’d welcome input on this if you have ideas. Today has me thinking about quite a few parts of the experience.
-
@lewisnyman @bobulate Good question – while it was broad initially, it always felt too tied to a specific medium for me to adopt it.
-
I wonder if design benefits from having a unified, global voice? Or if it’s even possible to have one? #1d4d
-
If you were to re-envision the AIGA (or any design org local to you), what changes would you make? #1D4D
-
RT @espiekermann: @joshgcreative you cannot simplify complexity, but make people simply understand it. #1D4D
-
@160south Questions from moderators are more easily viewable here: twitter.com/#!/onedayforde…
-
@lpotr4 Please do.
-
@anildash Yes, could someone please solve the connecting to a projector thing and just make it work without fiddling with settings?
-
What could organized design contribute to the world? How could it have a positive global impact? #1D4D
-
@zeldman Agreed. We’ll get there.
-
In case you missed this earlier, I’m aggregating the #1d4d tweets from my view here: twitter.com/#!/stop1D4D/fa…
-
@daniel_sellers @fchimero Cool. There’s nothing preventing that from happening. Either today or after today. #1d4d
-
Re: design disciplines, I’m not just referring to IA / interaction / visual, but also interior, print, industrial, architectural… #1D4D
-
@danielcollins At a grander scale, it may point to other existing communities, or highlight the need to start new ones. #1d4d
