@maxvoltar Exactly. I’ve lamented the fact that so many icons on my home screen are blue.
-
@maxvoltar Several of us worked on many iterations. While I liked a few others, this was the one that made the most sense strategically.
-
@JasHear Congrats on the new Cal launch. Some changes, me likes. Others, grrr…
-
@dodeca There are parts of the new UI I like, and other parts that got Googlified.
-
@nicepaul Traditionally, it’s not supposed to be part of the link. Though we’ve wavered recently.
-
Amazing what happens when a fancy local restaurant openly welcomes families with kids one night each week. (hint: they’re packed that night)

Using vi is only like riding a bicycle if you learned to ride a bicycle in the first place.

Bourbon butter pecan gelato followed by a Blue Bottle chaser. Great mid-point for a Sunday afternoon.

At the Artichoke Festival in Castroville. Seeking deep fried artichoke hearts and more.
-
A little surprised to receive an email from Apple today promoting CS5.
-
@k Hah, when I saw @c’s tweet, I was going to suggest Orphan Andy’s. I remember their grilled cheese for some reason.
-
@mdo Isn’t that already possible? Settings > Sounds > New Text Message (assuming you already turned an mp3 into a ringtone via iTunes)
-
“Alternate HTML content should be placed here. This content requires the Macromedia Flash Player.” Fine, you lose my business.
-
Frustrated that @VirginAmerica lost one of our bags with my clothes, wife’s makeup, and all of our daughter’s food in it.
-
“(X) is the number one killer of (y).” is unfortunately so overused, it’s losing its meaning. Eg.: I thought (z) was number one.
-
Brand New notes the new Google logo. http://j.mp/bn9vPl This change was years in the making. Similar changes were proposed in 2007.
-
@anshprat I can see you like details by your choice of avatar. :-)

This bottle states “Best by 100110”. That barely resembles a date.
-
@camcavers I didn’t either – but before tweeting about a person or entity, recently I’ve been trying to find them here first.

Relying on Together (by @TheNewPornos) to push me through a later-than-normal work session.

Previously, on LOST…
-
Whew, what a busy, hectic day. It ended well though.
-
Started reading an advance copy of HTML5 for Web Designers. As with previous works by @adactio, it’s clear and concise: http://j.mp/html5fwd
-
@Bitly New fugu UI is a nice improvement. You might consider adding back a subtle onClick/active change to confirm the copy action occurred.
-
With Web 2.0 in town, I shouldn’t have been surprised bumping into @meyerweb on my way into the office this morning.
-
UK folks finally get their Gmail back: http://j.mp/9SAvmP

@Joel_Hughes Hah! Negative. My words weren’t even that positive for the one brand I mentioned. I intentionally left the others unnamed.
-
@cshrieve Sorry, Cooper. You may not have understood me. There used to be a drawer with contextual shortcuts for each server once connected.
-
@cshrieve Tell me where, then. And don’t say it’s the new “Places Grid”, because the shortcut sidebar was always visible.
-
I’ve been trying to get used to @panic‘s Transmit4 this weekend. Some things I like. But I miss the shortcut sidebar from 3.x.
-
After trying several cups of instant coffee over the past week, at least Via was drinkable. Can’t say the same for other brands.
-
@mikemcneeley yep, helps to identify the grid, and makes it easier to spot position errors.
-
@jkalucki What took you so long? ;-)
-
@magnuson Helluva way to skip 13.

My WP files are repeatedly getting injected with spam links. Anyone have ideas on how to combat this bs? Already disabled WPSuperCache.
-
@joshnetherton Actually, I don’t see anything. I did a couple days ago, but cleared them out. Do you still see the links?
-
For anyone building out their own WordPress tweet archive, my theme files are now available for download: http://j.mp/aqQMTM

Yesterday I got asked if I was a designer. Today, my wife gets invited to a design conference. #ff now stands for Freaky Friday.
-
@jeffrey We had Paul, our alchemist, mix every drink. Then we shot ’em against white, developed slides, & scanned them. Homemade, my friend.

A glimpse of one of the Photoshop illustrations I created in 1997: “Frisco” http://drbl.in/18495
-
@marlaerwin I remember when PS3.0 introduced layers. That was probably the single biggest game-changer for Photoshop.
-
@JessicaGottlieb No issues so far. They’re at 300ppi, no loss. Only bummer is that they’re all in CMYK, so colors aren’t as crisp as RGB.
-
@ericatemytweet Surprisingly, they all open up in CS4 without any problems. Just no editable type layers.
-
For anyone who missed it, Photoshop turned 20 years old 2 months ago. Here’s the definitive Photoshop timeline: http://j.mp/cZ6Hf9
-
Opening files that I created with Photoshop in 1997. That means it was Photoshop 4.0, before PS had editable type.
-
RT @jesus: The chicken came first. Duh.
-
@joshelman I like your subtle blurred reflection in the screen.
