@yfaktor For future reference, the Twitter handle of the person following you is @whatnumberisthi.

Campaigning for me? Or trying to get my attention? Read it with the cadence of @MCHammer. http://j.mp/5EJX5k (via @sascha_says)

@ptg 100?! That’s more than my movie-addict friend who often sneaks a second film in as a double feature.
-
@weightshift Beautiful.

Considering auctioning off a mint-condition copy of the Cocktail book I designed, w/ proceeds going to charity. http://j.mp/7WcAvC
-
@panpainter Could I then point someone to a URL that applied the changes automatically, w/out requiring them to add a user style sheet?
-
@marwansalfiti A version of Firebug that could be saved & shared publicly, w/ ability to see visual changes & a diff of current code.
-
@smujesse It’s because of the browser-specific workarounds we had to use because of <button>. We’re reworking all buttons to fix & simplify.
-
@joshelman Not a screenshot – a live page. Similar to what a user style sheet or Firebug could do locally.
-
Wanted: A means of directing people to a public URL with suggested CSS changes highlighted and/or visually applied.

RT @Treehugger: Loved this video. Bicycle Culture 2.0 in Copenhagen. Truly a great city, must see: http://bit.ly/5Zq2xJ
-
@bs Gah, where are all those GeoCities pages when you need them to showcase effects like that?
-
@marwansalfiti Heh. My old Zip drive is PCMCIA, but I don’t have anything that supports that anymore. Recently found a USB version.

Sitting beside a window, working on design ideas. Wife is watching a special on Susan Boyle in the background. Sounds like a good story.
-
@chrisfurniss Actually, yes. There are things I’ve been wanting to do with a whole set of those files that have been locked up for too long.
-
Now that I finally have a drive, I’m finally able to pull the data off of about 20 Zip100 disks from 10+ years ago.
-
@jeromyhenry Just some attempts at taking over the English language. Wait till you see all the street intersections I’ve been working on.
-
@dylancasey Sorry about your luck today. But glad we somehow still got a chance to meet and talk. Hope tomorrow’s better.

-
@padburys Sure. I’m just stating that they do take design seriously, even if both you and I don’t jive with the approach or end result.

Word of the day: Imagine…
-
@gruber Google takes design seriously. But its aesthetic is purposely tied to the notion of unaltered, machine-generated data.
-
And I thought yesterday was cold. There’s ice on the streets of SF this morning. Frost an all the rooftops.
-
So it’s not “homeless” anymore, but “residentially-challenged” ?! http://j.mp/8tQoPl

Creative idea for a clock. The execution has room for improvement. http://j.mp/6c2ZxU

A currant scone, double espresso, and a surprise 3.6 million pixels of screen real estate to start a monday morning.

Those December Sours last night were delicious. Anyone remember the ingredients?
-
Outstanding holiday party last night. Fantastic coworkers. Honored, thankful, and proud to be working for this company.
-
Roller coaster ride. Just got a call that the potential buyers aren’t interested anymore. They must have looked into SF renters’ rights.
-
We just moved into the house we’re renting 3 weeks ago and love it. Now we’re facing possible sale and Owner Move-In eviction. Need advice.
-
@lmarino It was all my wife. She rocked the choice on both shirt and tie.
-
@VL She’s fine. Weird thing is that we keep finding tiny shards of glass in her hair.
-
Waiter at the party picked up a glass, hit a candle hanging from a tree, broke glass over my wife’s head, and spilled wax on her dress.
-
On our way to the Twitter holiday party. I’m wearing purple for the first time in my life. My wife is wearing a dress she made from scratch.
-
@joshelman That’s encouraging, since we’re considering switching to Comcast because we’re having too many problems with AT&T.
-
@mager Thanks, Andrew – I noted that myself last night. Most likely a conflicting CSS rule somewhere…
-
@BIL2k Yep, kind of my point. Though I’d consider a sans-portfolio candidate with a resume that blew me away.
-
If you send a résumé for a design job and don’t have a viewable portfolio, your résumé better be pretty outstanding.

@trammell And if you continue tweeting your journey, we can follow you on the map. Maybe make recommendations…

Google gets into the DNS game under the guise of speed. http://j.mp/8v5E2L Seems more like monitoring of traffic & usage patterns.

I need to be better prepared for these 40-degree fog-and-wind-filled scooter commutes home.
-
Very interested to see how @Square pans out – I’ve watched customers @Sightglass respond with surprise and delight.
-
@CozyCabbage My only guess: “perfect pitch” is closer to the start of the page title on my post, thus seen as more relevant?
-
RT @joinRED: DEC 1 IS WORLD AIDS DAY. And we’ll be turning Twitter (RED)! Literally! Stay tuned…
-
@jeffrey If that is happening, sounds like a bug to me. You should only see a tweet once, unless some thinking changed somewhere.
