@colbay In earlier versions of iPhone OS, you had a choice of what double-clicking the Home button did.
-
@smileyj68 That would kinda be like asking the same question about Twitter in 2007.
-
Stunning, must-see photo of a full rainbow over the Bay Bridge by @mostlylisa – http://flic.kr/p/941ZXh
-
@notdougfunnie Funny thing: @jmspool‘s answer on that Quora topic is one of the reasons I originally shared the link earlier today.
-
@mattymcg Ignoring? How could anyone ignore all that? ;-)
-
It’s a challenge just to find the supposed content on this page: http://j.mp/fp4oND
-
@mdo That’s what happens in an upward economy when you’re not under rent control. Time to find an old building in SF!
-
Good discussion on Quora about the difficulty tech startups are having in finding designers: http://j.mp/g33a0x

With all these refs to Comic Sans Criminal, I can’t help hearing MJ’s Smooth Criminal every time. #ruOK http://j.mp/gNX3DP
-
@smcbride That must have been fun. And will continue to be every Tues.
-
@Faz_Kerk We don’t yet provide notification of new DMs.
-
@EvI8n Hopefully it’s good past the end of 2010?
-
@DominicScott We’re working on DM notifications. And the home dashboard is ripe for more iteration. What do you want to see there?
-
AOL has been on an acquisition roll lately. Their latest addition: About.Me tcrn.ch/eOj1aH
-
@DominicScott Old Twitter won’t stick around forever, so prepare for that now. What don’t you like about #newtwitter?
-
@xninalove12 I’d like to think that’s not true…
-
@jpcody Lots of differences in how browsers behave as they append more elements to the DOM as the user is scrolling. Tough problem.
-
@jpcody I assume you’re talking about as you scroll down and more tweets get loaded automatically? If yes, super annoying for me too.
-
@anniickx That’s me.
-
@inkpixelspaper Apparently not possible right now, but that’s one of the cues we initially planned for the design.
-
@inkpixelspaper True, but we don’t just want a total count. Something better is designed, but it’s limited right now by cost of DM polling.
-
@jc No, separate issue. That state is entirely stored on the client.
-
@inkpixelspaper Old Twitter doesn’t have this either. Only thing it has is a count of total DMs, but even it didn’t update dynamically.
-
RT @joshu: heard yahoo is talking to everybody but me about taking it back. i find this fascinating.
-
RT @anildash: It seems like @PinboardIN is the most successful product Yahoo’s had a hand in launching in five years. Congrats, @baconme …
-
@EmmaEwers Why are so many people spamming my mentions timeline for this when I have no control over reinstating a user?
-
@CrayFox Yes, you can use Lists for that. You don’t even need to be following someone to add them to a list. cc @rhodesjason
-
@rhodesjason Do you mean a way to separate true replies from mentions? We’ve discussed it in the past, but most users want them combined.
-
@ptvan We don’t yet have the concept of read and unread messages. Messages are currently sorted by thread with latest people near the top.
-
@veen Baja Noe? That’s a thing?
-
@AlanHogan Certainly the loudest. But we know that to often be the case.
-
@anildash Silly me – I thought that was just called research.
-
@fuzzdecay Good for you – whatever works. Though we think you’re missing out, and not just the few extra characters it gains you. :-)
-
@StuRobson Hah, it may be. By that’s the exact word chosen by some users then. No exaggeration on my part.
-
OH: “It’s too bad nobody just enjoys pixel-pushing.” —@k
-
@jasonsantamaria Odd how users hated us last year for the way we implemented new RTs. Now an app is incomplete without. @nckplsn @Zhanna
-
@ripetungi Yeah, would have been nice, but not enough time. @jbrewer did a great job pulling this together very quickly.

Fascinating summary of the top trends on Twitter for 2010: j.mp/ieZ2tV

This isn’t creepy at all, right? “continuously share where you are – even in the background once you’ve closed the app” http://j.mp/hQd86Z
-
@mdo Happy Birthday, old man.

Inception: definitely a unique approach to storytelling & tapping into the unknown subconscious. Worth watching soon if you haven’t yet.
-
@joshuarudd Definitely a unique approach to story telling and tapping into the unknown subconscious. Worth watching sometime soon.

Just finished our first viewing of Inception. Head still spinning a bit. Or is it the top that’s still spinning?
