@HarryBaker Nope. You may have accidentally used the @ symbol before “STOP” once, intending to use a mobile command, but you got me instead.
-
@snookca There might be a way to “fix” this in Safari via the command line. But I’ve never been annoyed for long enough to investigate.
-
@snookca Been that way for at least a couple versions, right? Has nothing to do with the full address option. It’s a Safari/search handoff.
-
@HarryBaker You’re not following me, so I don’t think there’s any association with my account.
-
@PaulAnnett Ah, good location, so you can walk into MK. We stayed way too far away last time we visited WDW. Bussing around wasn’t good.
-
@craigmurray The crowds are certainly a bit overwhelming. But the decorations and spirit help us ignore the density of people.
-
@PaulAnnett Yep, still fun. Especially by getting into the park early in the morning. Have fun on your visit soon!

@mikefarrell Most likely, this Mike: en.m.wikipedia.org/wiki/Michael_L…
-
@movito @benedictevans The co will have to find it without me though. I’d like to see attempts at a collapsed/expandable text block.
-
@movito @PaulAnnett @tomcoates A collapsed text-embed would be pretty interesting. I cringe whenever I see screenshots of text in a tweet.
-
@PaulAnnett @tomcoates Yes, collections is half the solution. But all those tweets could be collapsed into a single, expandable package.
-
@stop @tomcoates Speaking of, and somewhat related, did you see this piece by @mgsiegler on tweeting blocks of text? medium.com/five-hundred-w…
-
@tomcoates Maybe we could use a way to batch tweets together after-the-fact, so later-readers would always get them as one package.
-
@stop @tomcoates Easier on the author, but then the experience gets fractured on the receiving end.
-
@tomcoates It’s so easy to compose short bursts and send them immediately, rather than stringing paragraphs together in a single post.
-
@dwjr Dude, nice dado joints.
-
@TylerGalpin Effectively, they are non-existent. Also feels lazy to not describe what’s being updated in each release.
-
@yarcom It’s usually called “fog”.
-
@mikeindustries @couch @suyash Waiting for my massage. It’s spa day at newsvine.
-
@srcasm scuba gear might come in handy too.
-
@srcasm In theory, yes. Though to hear the media report on the storm, they’re forecasting #rainpocalypse.
-
@drwave Yes, unfortunately, true.
-
SF and Oakland schools get a snow day tomorrow. For a rain storm with wind. The Bay Area knows earthquakes. But its concept of bad weather?

@hotdogsladies Oh, but the problems that shirt could solve. Any problem whatsoever, take it off for 30 seconds, then put it back on.

@miradu Here’s to the crazy ones…
-
@Folletto But that further muddles the distinction. DPI is inherently about ink density. And dots on screen are pixels, right?
-
@stop Confusion is introduced in discussing DP (or DiP, for Device-independent Pixel) which sounds like DPI. But the 2 have no direct association.
-
@stop In short, if you’re only designing for screen, and never putting ink to paper, you need never concern yourself with DPI.
-
This article, and the piece it points to, are proof that we’re still muddling the difference between PPI and DPI. fastcodesign.com/3039564/the-di…

@sippey I promise there’s a green tree under there somewhere.

@sippey Hard work is 350+ unique ornaments collected over four generations. Just looking will make you tired.

@origiful <blush> everyone else in the room can see it, everyone else but you…
-
@gln I think the blocks of 14 are native to Twitter for Mac for some reason. Beyond that, new grouping.
-
Seems legit… or not. If I were @Support, I’d just auto-suspend my last 100 followers or so.

What determines whether an iOS app asks to use location “Always”, “While using the app”, or both? I wish I could select “using” more often.

Announcing your 2014 Sportsman of the Year: Madison Bumgarner. si.com/mlb/video/2014…

@timtrueman @finkel @AMc Ahem, #newnewTwitter.

Congrats, Bumgarner. You earned Sportsman of the Year the hard way. blogs.mercurynews.com/giants/2014/12…

@jcknotts @evernote Figured it out. If I place the cursor within the note, I can rename the attachment. But otherwise, can’t. File as a bug.
-
@evernote Curious why we can’t rename attachments anymore in Evernote/Mac since v6.x? Have even updated to Mavericks, 6.0.3 as latest.
