@stop @stop And OMG, a color chart table I wrote (manually) and contributed to Webmonkey in 2010 still lives: webmonkey.com/2010/02/color_…
-
@diversionary Me too. Both from its content, and having to design it. ;)
-
Stumbled across some HTML I wrote 14 years ago for a redesign of Webmonkey. Still renders flawlessly. #tables4ever
-
@elizabeth @kevinweil The little lamb swing. We had the same. Hope @thirdweil likes it as well as ours did.
-
@bhaggs @artypapers @jw Is that the job that lasts almost 3 hours and is a total waste of time?
-
@artypapers @jw I have come to accept the fact that global design just means circular avatars.
-
@jw @artypapers I don’t understand why Senior Global VP Head of Design is a problem. Also, if my name was Ed, I’d want to be Ed of Design.
-
@isaach Every vowel you take, Every app you make, Every link you break, Every test you fake, cloud be watching you.
-
@tapbot_paul Ugh – a future that looms in the distance for me too.
-
@BenPiersall Naive question, because I just downloaded @nuzzel and haven’t used it much… how is it different from Flipboard, other than UI?
-
@anotherny @markboulton Absolutely. Someone strikes gold, and suddenly has all the answers. Even more so if they’ve “succeeded” > one time.
-
@markboulton If I’m honest, I feel that too. The culture here has certainly changed from the tight-knit, open industry it was a decade ago.
-
@markboulton My guess is that some of this comes from youth and inexperience, and those folks having a far louder voice than ever before.
-
@stop @markboulton When anything grows to a certain mass, it attracts the bad and good. Even though that’s happened, there’s a lot of good here.
-
@markboulton It’s so easy to over-generalize and critique it from the outside. But there’s real life here too.
-
Math doesn’t quite add up, but TC reports Interactive hosted 32,000 of the 80,000 SXSW attendees last year. !?! techcrunch.com/2014/11/13/sxs…
-
@stop @Stammy Also, I met @ugmonk briefly a few weeks ago at @CirclesConf. Good guy. Wish we had gotten more time to talk.
-
@Stammy Well, at least we don’t work at the same place anymore, which will minimize the possibility of a @designtwinsies photo. ;)
-
I’ve always admired @ugmonk’s shirts and designs when I see other people wearing them. Finally ordered a set for the first time tonight.
-
@dwjr I read that as “take a deep bath” first. I like that idea better.
-
@soffes @ok Not the easiest location to remember, but it’s still there. unintentionalmentions.tumblr.com
-
@tomcoates That view of the Mercantile Building and the cathedral beside it on Mission is cray.
-
@cezinho Note that Twitter isn’t using it as their mission statement. That remains unchanged here: about.twitter.com/company
-
@ashsmash Considered that as I was running out of characters.
-
@shaneadams Swap “tools” with “services” and it’s 140 exactly.
-
@shaneadams I think it’s 3 chars short of a twoosh. We could probably get it there with a bit more iteration.
-
@singy As a strategy statement internal to Twitter, I think they want that part near top-of-mind, otherwise, they would have easily cut it.
-
@trammell Not quite a twoosh, but close.
-
@stop Connect every human via simple sharing and distribution tools, forming the world’s largest audience and a top revenue-generating company.
-
Twitter’s “strategy statement” is easy to critique from the outside. It’s long & wordy. Even I couldn’t resist trying to shorten & simplify…
-
@anildash This has been (and still is) Twitter’s mission statement: about.twitter.com/company
-
@endashes Would have been plenty of time to get a good selfie tho.

My heart goes out to the family, friends, and coworkers of Dan Ha. sfist.com/2014/11/12/a_d…

@stop @Madebyhaz … rather than multiple tweets from other people regurgitating the exact same headline as their tweets.
-
@Madebyhaz I’m saying the signal should be elevated around the single canonical tweet from the news org itself.
-
Another answer to “Why is the conversation fractured over news stories?” Twitter needs a “retweet” button, in place of a “tweet” button.
-
@couch It could be a very big thing for you.
-
First time I’ve heard “world’s largest couch” in reference to Twitter and TV.
-
Great information and insights being shared at #TWTRAnalystDay. It’s a focused, concise, clear vision of the product road ahead. Well done.
-
So glad to see “Timeline Highlights” aka “While you were away” on its way to the Twitter experience.
-
@jameson_speaks Happens all the time with my username. Usually I just block. I only respond if it’s partially funny.
-
@mcelhearn @khoi Was just going to reply the same thing. Would be an awesome screen saver.
